Applications are invited from UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES (fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India) to join the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala for a four-year degree course under the 10+2 (B Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme. Other details like age limit, educational qualification, selection process, application fee and how to apply are given below.


Posts: (10+2 / B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme Course Commencing July 2018

Educational Qualification: Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examinations from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM-Passing in each subject mandatory) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

Who can Apply: Candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) 2017 exam. Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on basis of JEE (Main) 2017 All India Rank.

Age Limit: Born between 02 Jan 1999 and 01 Jul 2001 (both dates inclusive).

Physical Standards:
(a) Height and Weight: Minimum height - 157 cms with correlated weight as per age.
(b) Eye Sight: The minimum acceptable vision standards for distant vision is 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be color/night blind.
(c) Tattoo: Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body, however, certain concessions are permitted to candidates belonging to tribal communities/from tribal areas as declared by the Government of India. For other candidates, permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e. from inside of elbow to wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of the hand. Selection Process: IHQ of MoD reserves the right to fix cut off for shortlisting the application for SSB based on JEE (Main) All India Rank- 2017. No communication will be entertained on this account. SSB interviews with shortlisted candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore / Bhopal / Coimbatore / Visakhapatnam from Feb - Apr 18.

Indian Coast Guard Invites Online Application For Navik (Domestic Branch) 10th Pass Entry – 01/2018 Batch. Applications are invited from unmarried Indian male nationals possessing educational qualifications and age, as prescribed below, for recruitment to the post of Navik {Domestic Branch (Cook & Steward)} in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union.

  • Name of Post: Navik (Domestic Branch)

  • Age Limit : Minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years as on 01 Apr 2018 i.e between 01 Apr 1996 to 31 Mar 2000. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates).

  • Pay Scale : Starting Basic Pay Scale for Navik (DB) is Rs. 21700/ – (Pay Level – 3 post 7th pay commission implementation), plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the regulation enforced time to time.
  • Educational Qualification : 10th Class with 50% marks in aggregate from a board of Education recognized by Central / State Government. (5% relaxation in above minimum cut off will be given for SC/St candidates & outstanding sports person of National level who have obtained 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in any field sports events at the Open National Championship/ Interstate National Championship. This relaxation will also be applicable to the wards of Coast Guard uniform personal deceased while in service)
  • Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates is based on the order of merit depending on their performance in Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examination.
